The hotel offered nice gardens, a pool, and even table tennis. We received great advice on local attractions and felt truly cared for by the staff.

The view from the property was absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Being on top of a hill overlooking the river Douro was truly amazing. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Another advantage we enjoyed was the delicious breakfast served in the dining room. From homemade jams and fresh orange juice to a variety of breads and cereals, it was a perfect start to our day.

That the roads leading up to the property were difficult to navigate, especially at night. It's worth noting and taking extra caution while driving.

Although the location was a bit challenging to get to, the breathtaking views of the Douro region and river were well worth the drive. The property had fantastic amenities including a beautiful pool, tennis court, and various terraces with stunning views. The breakfast served at the villa was absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options. The peacefulness and quietness of the property were incredibly relaxing. the Quinta De Casalmato Villa provided great value for the money, and if I ever find myself in the region again, I would definitely choose to stay here.
